About The Collection
My 2021 collection focuses on life among the coral reefs. These paintings are incredibly detailed and are made with the utmost precision. This collection was featured for a one month exhibition with North Water Street Gallery of Kent Standing Rock Cultural Arts from August 27 to September 25, 2021.
I wanted to give my viewers a glimpse of an ecosystem that is not readily seen, but is an integral part of our world. I use many thin, transparent, glaze layers to build depth into the painting while simultaneously using visible strokes to add a touch of whimsy. My paintings are lighthearted and are intended to evoke joy in the viewer. Painting creation is a way I show my appreciation for the wisdom of the creator and share his majesty with others.
